Mmm Good Eats!

We would like to welcome Kayla Adam to the MTH Family! Kayla will be acting as our Nutrition Coach for all teams. Kayla manages a local restaurant, called Green Nest whose mission is to promote a healthier lifestyle by offering a convenient way to eat fresh and delicious food at an affordable price every day. Located at 9 Amy Croft Dr, Unit#2 Tecumseh, ON. Kayla brings a contagious smile and exciting dynamic to our team, we are happy to have her!



Each week Kayla will be providing fun recipes for parents and players to attack in the kitchen plus more as our season moves into tournament play! POWER UP YOUR BREAKFAST!


2-MINUTE CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER OATMEAL A healthy, quick breakfast, with a good blend of carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats, that tastes like dessert in a bowl. Prep time: 5 mins Cook time: 2 mins Total time: 7 mins INGREDIENTS ● ⅓ cup rolled oats ● ⅔ cup milk (or alternative milk of your choice) ● 1 tsp cocoa powder ● 1 tbsp peanut butter (or any nut butter of choice) ● ½ cup sliced strawberries ● ¼ cup blueberries ● 1 tbsp maple syrup (or sweetener of choice) INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, mix together rolled oats and cocoa powder

  2. Add the milk and stir again

  3. Place bowl in the microwave and cook for 1 minute

  4. Stir oatmeal and place back in the microwave for another 30-60 seconds. Remove and stir again.

  5. Let cool for 2-3 minutes before topping with peanut butter, fresh fruit, and maple syrup

OPTIONS FOR OTHER TOPPINGS ● Banana, chocolate chips, greek yogurt, almonds/walnuts (or other nuts), raisins, granola...the options are endless! NUTRITION FACTS (approximately)
