Coach Patrick Murphy

Coach Murphy grew up loving the game of hockey, but more importantly, he fell in love with what the game taught him. He learned how to keep lifelong friends, engrave forever-lasting memories and how to become a leader.

Due to injuries, he had to step down from playing competitively at the young age of 20. Fortunately, when one road ends a new one begins, and so he started coaching within the minor hockey system. This is where he found a new love... to teach young athletes everything he knew about hockey and life.

Today in 2022, coach Murphy came to realize that the game of hockey is changing at a rapid pace. You need a tremendous amount of skill, skating, shooting, and determination. There are a lot of coaches that can teach you those fundamentals BUT there are only a few who can teach drive, teamwork, leadership, accountability, and respect while still being able to deliver skill, skating, and shooting. Here at MY TEAM HOCKEY we are that “few”. What your child learns on our ice will carry with them positively into a developing respectable teenager and a mature adult. And that’s a promise.

Coach
Myles Doan

Hockey has given Myles many tools and opportunities outside of the sport, but it was the lessons he learned from his coaches and teammates that truly allowed him to flourish. Every sport has more to offer than just excelling within it. If your mind isn’t open to learning more than just the game, you will lose the larger battle. MY TEAM HOCKEY exudes leadership and commitment, but most importantly how to have fun doing it. If you leave the rink having grown as a person and not just a hockey player, then you will be successful.

Coach
Eric Noel

Coach Noel always says "If it wasn't for my parents I don't think I would have loved the game of hockey as much as I do now and when I was younger. The sacrifices they made, the time they spent, and the support they gave me throughout my career helped shaped the man and leader I am today" The game of hockey taught Coach Noel a lot of life lessons and that is the biggest reason why he chooses to give back to youth hockey today.

Coach
Kylie St. Louis

Saying that the game of hockey changed Kylie’s life for the

better would be an understatement. It taught her how to become resilient when facing difficulties, how to push herself to be the best version of herself on and off the ice, and it also allowed her to form life long bonds with her teammates from Windsor and all across North America. Beginning as a figure skater at the young age of four, switching to hockey at the age of eight was life changing. Growing up, she was determined to get a scholarship to play NCAA. Once she accomplished that, she went on to complete her four years at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA and returned home to complete teachers college at the University of Windsor. She has been teaching with the GECDSB for the last four years. She has wanted to be a teacher since the young age of nine, and has a love for teaching and giving back to the community.

Coach Rychel comes with a tone of knowledge on how to get players to the next level.

His coaching philosophy preaches that he is a firm believer that if you have knowledge pass it on to those who do not. He also believes that playing sports as a child not only builds character and confidence but also gives a sense of accomplishment. It also prepares children for life, teaching them about working as a team or as a team player, not as an individual "

Nutrition Coach
Kayla Adam

After earning an undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo, Kayla realized her passion always came back to nutrition. She wanted to turn her love for food and her self-taught cooking skills into something she could pass along to others. She decided to go back to school, attending Alive Academy, to become a Certified Nutritionist. Doing this helped combine her passion for nutrition with her love of helping others reach their optimal health.

Kayla believes that food should be a tool to enhance your life, not limit it, and to do that, you don’t need to follow strict or complicated diets. It starts with going back to the basics, focusing on simple and wholesome foods that your body appreciates. She also understands the importance of creating a healthy relationship with food at a young age, leading to long-term health and wellness.

Experience

  • Certified Holistic Nutritionist (CHN)

  • Certified Nutritional Counsellor (CNC)
